Exit Interviews

Most companies we speak with use some form of exit interviews but report to us that their efforts have limited value in reducing turnover. OI/Career Consultants believes that much can be learned about the Employee Life Cycle when an employee leaves the organization either voluntarily or involuntarily. Confidential on line surveys are conducted with all employees who are leaving the organization as well as with their supervisor.

There are a couple of unique features of our exit interview programs [a] we develop feedback from both the worker and their supervisor [b] we compare that information with earlier information collected from the employee “ears” surveys. Obviously if there is a “gap” we want to determine whether there was something we could have done to stop this turnover and to determine the employee’s real reasons for the defection, job abandonment or termination.
