We believe that one of the most critical aspects of OI/Career Consultants’ Employee Life Cycle Solutions is the formation of an Executive Oversight team to set goals, to put programs in place and to oversee results.
Metrics:
We believe that skillful management of the retention program hinges on the skillful management of the critical success factors associated with a “best in class” talent retention program. We develop fast, quantifiable and accurate reports about turnover rates: when turnover occurs, causes of turnover, employee satisfaction with managers or corporate policies, data by demographic groups [women, minorities, Hispanics etc.], and cost of turnover. This information can be segmented by job classifications, business unit or company wide. The benefit to our clients is measured in timely and efficient reporting.
The Committee:
Ideally, we recommend having a committee composed of a senior HR Rep, a VP of Operations who has a turnover issues and a Partner from OI/Career Consultants. Since all members of the committee have the same goal to make the program a success, they all have skin in the game and will work collaboratively to make it a success.
Normally, we meet once a month. We realize that you and other members of the committee are very busy so we develop the reports and create the agenda. OI/Career Consultants does the majority of the work. The committee oversees the programs and the results of the programs. They move the information to action. This group, like the VP of Sales who reports his/her success each month or quarter or year; or the CFO or President who reports on the profitability of the company, this committee reports on its success at improving retention, employee engagement, loyalty and productivity.
